Universal New Energy Holding Group, Inc. (OTC: UNEH) ("the Company"), a Nevada-based entity focused on developing next-generation energy storage and battery solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of three key US Citizens to its leadership team: Dr. Gordon Wu Qingguo as Director of Battery Materials Research, Dr. Simon Cai Ming as Director of Battery Power Management Systems, and Mr. Steve Bellamy as Vice President of International Marketing.
Dr. Gordon Wu Qingguo, Director of Battery Materials Research
Dr. Wu brings over two decades of experience in the research, development, and industrialization of advanced battery technologies. With a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from Queens University, Canada, and postdoctoral training in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he has an extensive academic and industrial background. Dr. Wu has been pivotal in the development of long-life lithium-ion batteries, low-cost sodium-ion batteries, and advanced electrode materials.
His work includes breakthroughs in lithium manganese oxide and sodium manganese positive electrode materials, as well as hard carbon negative electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries. Over his career, Dr. Wu has published more than 60 academic papers in leading journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc. and Chem. Mater., and has secured over 70 international patents. At the Company, he will oversee research into cost-effective, high-performance battery materials, focusing on scalability and industrial applications to drive innovation in energy storage solutions.
Dr. Simon Cai Ming, Director of Battery Power Management Systems
Dr. Cai is a seasoned expert in battery power management systems (BMS) with nearly 20 years of experience in the development and industrialization of new energy technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Physics and a Masters degree in Computer Software Engineering from Brigham Young University. During his tenure at Intel, Motorola, and Novell, Dr. Cai led teams in designing cutting-edge systems for network security, embedded systems, and energy management.
His key projects include developing ultra-low temperature and high-power BMS for high-value applications. Dr. Cai has spearheaded the creation of BMS for telecommunications base stations, electric buses, and sodium-ion energy storage systems. At the Company, Dr. Cai will lead the design and implementation of next-generation BMS to ensure battery efficiency, reliability, and safety in both commercial and industrial applications.
Mr. Steven Bellamy, Vice President of International Marketing
Mr. Bellamy brings over 40 years of experience in financial management, marketing strategy and international business development. After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, he trained as an accountant with PWC in London and is a longstanding member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. During his career Mr. Bellamy has served as investment bank director, public company CFO, and senior financial executive in several battery technology companies
In the renewables energy sector, Mr. Bellamy has been instrumental in establishing, incubating and marketing new energy technology companies. He has extensive expertise in business development, sales and financial analysis, with a focus on microgrids, energy storage and renewables. At the Company, he will lead efforts to expand the global presence of its energy solutions, forging partnerships and driving sales in emerging and established markets.
Equity Compensation
As part of the new employment agreements with Dr. Wu, Dr. Cai, and Mr. Bellamy, the Company will issue a total of 300,000 incentive stock options to purchase common shares in the capital of the Company (each, an Option). The Options will be issued pursuant to the Companys stock option plan, vested immediately, and are exercisable at a price of $1.50 per common share for a period of ten years.
